Did your family move here from London?

Did your family move to St Albans from Hornsey, Finchley, Edmonton, Tottenham or Southgate in the 1950s?  There was an arrangement between St Albans City Council and these London boroughs.  They came to live in some of the new homes on the London Road (Mile House) estate.

Fleetville, Camp, Hill End, Marshalswick. Oaklands, Smallford, Cell Barnes

St Albans' Own East End

Two adjacent homes which developers Goodwin & Hart built for themselves on the New Camp estate in c1930.  The gardens were extra long and professionally laid out.  Beyond are allotments and the chicken farm of Little Cell Barnes.
